Make Art MKE is an annual, outdoor, September event---the Sunday after Labor Day---held on the Mount Mary Campus In Milwaukee, WI. We proudly feature 175+ Artists & Makers, Fine Art & Handmade Goods, Local Food Trucks, and Live Music!
Make Art MKE is a revival of the Starving Artist Show that was held on the Mount Mary Grounds for over 50 years. Local Cooper Park resident and entrepreneur, Mike Bate of Lit MKE, didn't want to see this community tradition go to the wayside. So, in 2023 he picked up where previous organizers left off and created Make Art MKE: an event that honors the past, but also looks to the future by including not just fine art, but local makers and artisans, musical talent, and the art that is good food. Mike also wanted to make sure this was an event not just in the Cooper Park community, but for the Cooper Park community. A portion of proceeds each year has gone back into the area, helping fund things like Cooper Park improvements and art programming at the Milwaukee German Immersion School.

Walk in the Park : Cooper/Kops Park (meet near the parking lot)
Milwaukee Parks Foundation and Milwaukee County Parks invite you to gather with us for an hour long walk through a park, happening monthly rain or shine.
The purpose of these walks is simple. The agenda will be to connect and reconnect, enjoying the company of whoever attends, while appreciating parks and communities throughout the county.
Attendees are welcome to join Milwaukee Parks Foundation in collaboration with Camille Mays for the Summer Sound Bath Series ! Meet us near the parking lot.

The city approved our permit to block off the crosswalk this Sunday!
Join us at the corner of Chambers & 88th Street starting at noon.
We will be beautifying the cross walks leading to the northwest side of the park (by the pollinator garden.) Local artist Sandra will lead us in bringing her mural to life.
